The only way that the guards could get us in to Old Grandpa Krall’s manor is through a old used service tunnel. It is pitch black inside and you cannot see from one end to the other. The ice giant refused to go in because he says the tunnel is haunted. He stayed outside with Nestor while Volk, the wolf, led Wumboo and I in.
Volk was brave and didn’t believe in ghosts but even he seemed nervous once it had gotten so dark that we could no longer see. He grabbed my hand because, as he says, he didn’t want me to get lost. I admit it was cold and creepy and so I grabbed Wumboo’s hand and together we all ended up running through the tunnel to get to the far end.
Once we had gotten out we were relived to be in the manor and in the light. Volk admitted that even though he still didn’t believe in ghosts he was no less happy to have been in the middle.
Are we all just being silly?
