The bathwater riddle

We finally got to meet with Krall.

He is a grizzled wolf who looks much older than the Winter Wizard. He seemed understandably surprised to see us and I noticed that he didn’t look sick at all. I told him who i was and why I was there.

“You’re too young,” he told me, “There is no way that you are up for this task. A ranger needs wisdom which I doubt you have.” I insisted that I do and he said, “Ok, then let’s see.”

“I have already filled a bathtub with nice warm water,” he explained, “If I talk to you the water will get cold and I don’t like cold baths. I can always pour another bath but first I have to get rid of the cold water. I can only offer you a spoon, a cup if you’re nice, or a bucket if you are rude. If you can tell me how a wise person would empty it then I will be willing to entertain your questions.”

What would you do?
