There were trolls hiding in my room. They were looking for storybirds. I forgot to warn you earlier that trolls absolutely love the idea of eating storybirds. I don’t know if the trolls in your house will take notice of them but I thought that I should warn you just in case.
After finding the trolls and chasing them out I finally did get a little rest. After I got up I quickly ate food that wasn’t full of sand and then headed up the cliff to Fort Tagalong. As I climbed the long path up I could see out for miles. The large stone keep overlooks a wide valley and a number of small villages and towns that are scattered across the horizon. A storm was beginning to blow in and the day seemed even colder than the night had been. Winter hasn’t officially begun yet I can already feel it and see it.
Everyone I passed on the way up was very busy but then they would all stop what they were doing when I passed by. All of the attention was a little weird. The atmosphere seemed tense and the wolves ran about as if they were preparing for something.
The wolves are all trained as warriors from pups so naturally anything they did looked as though they were preparing for war. i didn’t believe this be the thought made me uneasy.
When I arrived at the gate the guards stopped me and pointed a paw to the symbol of the caribou around my neck. Before I could ask to speak with Commander Zan the gate guard asked me to help them with a problem.
I am beginning to see why Rain Thunder is always so grumpy.
It turns out that the captain of the guards had just found a troll in his house. The troll was insisting that it should be there but the wolves were having none of it. In an effort to settle this reasonably I asked to speak with the troll.
Trolls don’t seem to speak, at least I’ve never heard one talk, but they can write; however, trolls write very poorly. After the troll had written it’s statement it took me two hours of deciphering and I had to consult three grammar teachers, a professor of dead languages and a four year old bystander in order to figure out what it said but this is what I got from the troll:
It cold outside but trolls don’t mind so just after completing the hard work of not being in trouble. I walking by the captain’s stinky place and see something moving inside. I can see since the light is lighted inside but I can’t tell what’s what. Like a good troll I worried about captain so I wipe frost from window so I see clearly. I then get big surprised to see the big bad White Ghost inside. That’s when I run in and I chase him away and I save everything. Now I am just eating dirty laundry and enjoying warm house as a reward for helping so much. We trolls could help guard all the places so you should have my friends come over too.
Does the troll’s story hold up or should he go back to his own home?
