Anyone who travels between the north, south, east or west, must pass through Nexus — the city of the Elementals. The Elemental are creatures that embody the forces of the world like fire, air and earth. It is not unusual for one to catch fire or to cry a literal river. Their strong emotions can become very real storms or even tremors in the ground. As you can imagine there is always something going on in that city.
I saddled up my trusty horse Nestor and I hoped that I could pass through Nexus quickly. I had a long road ahead and I would need to investigate here later as I passed through on my way to the south. Alas, getting through the city of the Mazors quickly was only a dream. Only five minutes into Nexus I was stopped by a very fed up Mama Mazor storming like a tornado. She begged me to help settle a heated dispute that her temperamental son Heath Mazor was having. I am a ranger and this is my job so of course I went to investigate.
It turns out that four boys, including Heath, had gotten together to play a simple game. Each of the boys had four rocks that they tried to toss onto a lily pad far out in the middle of a gorgeously peaceful pond.
Heath’s prankster loving neighbor missed so badly with every one that all of the boys got at least a little wet during his turn.
Heath’s close friend managed to land two rocks on the lily pad but the next rock went down with a big ugly splash.
Heath’s talented brother only missed once.
Heath went last and won, but while Heath was gloating over his victory he was hit in the head with a rock.
Now Heath was fuming with smoke literally coming from the Elemental’s head. No one seems to have seen who threw the rock and they all blame each other. Can you help me figure out who really owes Heath an apology?
