The trolls have been reading a funny apocalypse survival guide I recently wrote and decided to prepare to the apocalypse by writing their own. In their own trollish way each guide says the following:
A Pocket Lint Survival Guide
Food: So other trolls don’t eat you.
A Nacholess Survivor Guide
Sleeping stuff: me wake when it’s over.
A Taco Lips Serving Guide
Traps: So you don’t need to bring food, just trolls.
Each of their guide also contains a note that a letter from a Spark is in the guide. In our copy of the Apocalypse Survival Guide is the following letter:
they lecture at us with stern fingers
that energy cannot be created
energy cannot be destroyed
it always comes
from somewhere
it can only ever change form
but what happens when youre too tired
to do a task alone
and someone comes
and joins you
and together it gets done?
what happens when you are lucky
and you see something sublime
youre moved inside
you feel a spark
a drive where there was none?
perhaps that spark
is the moment where
something special is born
